Philip Roberts - General Manager, Darwin

Philip, RAHC's General Manager, has been based in Darwin since 2003 where he has had extensive experience working in government and economic consulting. He has been a member of the Royal Darwin Hospital Board since 2005. Prior to moving to Darwin Philip worked with JP Morgan and Chase Manhattan Bank in Sydney, New York and London over a period of 16 years.

Fiona Wake RN - Clinical Manager, Darwin

Fiona’s role with RAHC encompasses clinical support for both health professionals in the field and the liaison with the health services within the Northern Territory. Fiona is passionate about encouraging and supporting others to be a part of closing the gap in Indigenous Health outcomes and providing expertise to the health services through the Northern Territory. Fiona believes this offers health professionals an amazing opportunity to make a difference, to experience the challenges and rewards of working in remote communities and to develop an appreciation of the unique nature of the NT. Fiona is a registered nurse with over 20 years experience in both critical care and community nursing. Fiona has worked in communities all around the NT since 2007, much of that time coordinating hearing and ear, nose and throat services in Central Australia & Top End remote communities. Fiona's first remote nursing placement back in 2007 inspired her to move to the NT as it challenged and changed her life. In particular, she was inspired by the dedicated staff she worked with with and by the community members, beautiful kids and strong families.

Aaron Richardson - Clinical Coordinator, Central Australia and Barkly, Alice Springs

Aaron has been working in the Northern Territory both as a locum nurse with RAHC, on various placements, and directly for an AMS since 2009. In 2011, Aaron was appointed as Clinical Coordinator for Central Australia and the Barkly Region. Aaron’s enthusiasm for Indigenous health issues and desire to assist with ‘closing the gap’ has motivated him into a role where he can assist and support others who want to work with Indigenous health. Aaron is a Registered Nurse with more than 5 years health care related experience and has a strong hope and desire to assist RAHC to strengthen primary health services for Indigenous people in the NT.

Jenny Moore - Regional Coordinator, Central Australia and Barkly, Alice Springs

Based in Alice Springs, Jenny Moore is the RAHC Regional Co-ordinator for the Central Australia and Barkly regions. Jenny has worked in remote communities since 2009. Prior to commencing work with RAHC Jenny was the Clinical Manager with SA Department of Corrections, working for a remote tri-state Indigenous family violence offender program across the NPY Lands. Previous to this position Jenny worked in Melbourne as a Counsellor in both industry and private practice, responding to trauma & critical incidents. As Regional Co-ordinator Jenny is responsible for liaising with the many health services throughout Central Australia and ensuring RAHC health professionals are well supported during their placements.

Annette Walker - Placement Manager, Canberra

Annette is the People Placement Manager based in Canberra. Before joining RAHC, Annette worked in the recruitment industry managing up to 120 staff for a multi-national company using established strategies proven to optimise recruiting efficiency. Annette is experienced in customer service, client relations and staff management. Annette's role at RAHC is to manage the sucessful placements of General Practitioners through out the Northern Territory. Annette is committed to a high level of customer service and generating successful associations with internal and external stake holders.

Tanya Brunt - Senior Placement Consultant, Canberra

Tanya was appointed to the role of Senior Placement Consultant with RAHC to manage the recruitment of medical personnel and health professionals in remote Indigenous communities around the Northern Territory. Tanya comes to RAHC with extensive experience in recruitment with Government and private organisations, having worked in this industry since 2004.Tanya is highly focused and committed to providing the highest level of support for RAHC personnel in the field so they, in turn, can provide quality care to patients in remote areas of the Northern Territory.

Candice Priscina - Placement Consultant, Canberra

Candice is the People Placement Consultant managing placements of Registered Nurses and Allied Health Professionals. Camndice comes to RAHC with 4 years experience working for an Australian owned recruitment and job services organisation as an Employment Assistant Consultant. She has experience placing candidates of varied skill levels and backgrounds in a number of industries across Canberra. Candice is qualified in Business Administration and is passionate about placing the right people in the right job. Candice comes to RAHC to assist the services within the Northern Territory and contribute to closing the gap.

Lizzie Uhr - Application and Credentialing Coodinator, Canberra

Lizzie has completed her studies at University to graduate with a Bachelor of Educational Studies. Lizzie joined the RAHC team in May 2011 and has enjoyed the office environment. Since starting as reception, Lizzie has moved into the Placement team and now has the role of Application and Credentilaing coordinator. It is Lizzie's role to assist health professionals in completing their application to ensure that their application can be submitted to the Credentialing Commitee. Lizzie's organisational and pesronal skills which ensure that she can remain on task and get things done in a timely manner.

Margie Groom - Office and Logistics Manager, Darwin
|

Margie takes up the busy role of RAHC's Travel and Logistics Coordinator. She is the smiling and calm voice that helps RAHC health professionals with their travel and accomodation needs. If you are lucky, you get to meet her when you visit the Darwin office. She comes to the position with a long and distinguished background in the travel industry, having worked in ticketing, flight inventories and office administration. She has also assisted in Human Resource development and corporate services projects. Margie’s experience and skills make her a key member of the RAHC team and a valued and supportive resource for RAHC health professionals.

Christine Kuhl - Office and Logistics Assistant, Darwin
|

Chris joins RAHC as the Office and Logistics Assistant in the Darwin office. She has lived and worked in the Northern Territory for nearly 20 years, and comes from a background working in administrative roles in the health sector service. Chris closesly works with Margie Groom, organising travel and logistics for RAHC health professionals, and is delighted to be making a contribution to closing the gap.

Jawad Hayder - Business Manager, Canberra

Jawad comes to RAHC from Aspen Medical where he previously worked as an Accounts Officer before being promoted to Accountant - Financial Reporting. When RAHC was formed in November of 2008, Jawad was appointed Business Manager. Jawad has a Masters in Accounting, a Bachelor of Commerce, is a Chartered Accountant and is a Member of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMAP).

Krishna Kathiresu - Finance Officer, Canberra

Krishna comes to RAHC with over 10 year’s experience, specialising in accounting and finance. His accounting career began in Sri Lanka and later took him to England where he completed a degree specialising in accounting and finance. His accounting skills were in high demand and kept him working in London as a finance and accounting specialist for several years. In 2008 Krishna moved to Australia where he worked as a financial accountant on contract. In January 2010, Krishna joined RAHC as our Finance Officer. Krishna is tasked with maintaining and improving RAHC’s financial management processes and systems.

James is an Occupational Physician and Public Health Physician, and has spent most of his career in the Australian Defence Force. He had operational deployments to Iraq and East Timor, and is still a member of the Specialist Reserves. He was awarded the Commendation for Brave Conduct by disarming a disturbed airman. He is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Queensland through the Centre for Military and Veterans’ Health. After leaving the full time military at the end of 2006, he was the Australasian Medical Director for International SOS, the largest medical assistance company in the world, and then moved to be the first Medical Director for Aspen Medical and RAHC. He has experience in health services management, aviation medicine, medical research, sports medicine and policy development. James has been recentlyappointed to the research ethics committee of the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies.

Dr Jane Truscott - Clinical Consultant, Bundaberg PhD, MBA, MS, APRN-BC (USA), NP (Aust)

Dr Truscott is a consultant to the RAHC with TEPL Consulting. Prior to working with the RAHC, Jane worked in a variety of clinical and management roles in Australia and the United States within acute and community health care delivery. She has a PhD in Nursing in which she examined outcomes of a nurse home visitation program model for first time, low-income mothers in the United States. Jane is currently an advisor to the Queensland Government Health Quality and Complaints Commission and has lead the development and implementation of a chronic disease management program for Indigenous Australians living in Queensland. She is a nurse practitioner with interest in chronic disease management, disease prevention and health promotion strategies in primary health care, and development and implementation of eLearning for health practitioners.
