Q. What is the process for becoming one of RAHC's health professionals?

A: To become one of RAHC's health professionals, you must go through the application process by submitting the required documentation. After reviewing your application, we will be in contact with you if any further documents are required.

Q. How long will the application process take?

A. This is dependent on how long it takes for you to supply all of the required documentations. Our Application and Credentialing Co-Ordinator will be in direct contact with you throughout your application to make the process as simple as possible.

Q. What happens once we have been notified that our application is complete?

A. Once RAHC has received all of the required documentation, we will submit it to the Credentialing committee. Credentialing is a comprehensive review of professional qualifications, experience and references to verify that the information that you have provided is correct. Once your file has been credentialed, RAHC will inform you of the credentialing comittee's decision and if successful, your credentialed file will be passed to the Placement team.

A. Credentialing can take between four and six weeks.

Q. How long is my credentialing valid for?

A. RAHC 's credentialed files will be valid for 3 years, or shorter if so determined.

Q. What is the Working with Children Ochre Card? Do I need one?

A. The Northern Territory Government requires everyone working with children, including all health professionals working in health services, to have a  Working with Children clearance notice - the Ochre card. RAHC fully supports the efforts of the NT Government to increase protection for children and we are committed to working with RAHC health professionals to ensure that this clearance is in place.

We are unable to place any health professionals who do not have the NT Ochre card.

Q. Do I have to pay for the Working with Children application/exemption or the Australian Federal Police Check?

A. No, RAHC will pay on behalf of our health professionals for both applications. RAHC will receive the Police Check certificates and we may provide a copy for you if requested. The Working with Children Ochre card will be sent directly to our health professionals, who must provide RAHC with a copy of the card before engaging in any placement.
