RAHC has a number of exciting opportunities for urban-based Audiologists to undertake short-term paid placements in remote, Indigenous communities in the Northern Territory. RAHC was set up to recruit, orientate and deploy health professionals to enable the provision of increased primary health care services to assist in addressing the shortfall in health service delivery in remote Indigenous NT communities with a focus on recruiting urban-based health professionals. Placements are paid and are casual for short periods of three weeks to three months enabling health professionals to maintain their professional and personal obligations at home while participating in efforts to improve Indigenous health. Note: Due to the casual nature of RAHC placements we are unable to guarantee any placements or ongoing employment.
As a RAHC health professional, you will work as part of a supportive team to deliver primary healthcare services in remote Indigenous communities in the Northern Territory.
RAHC is funded to support travel for health professionals from the airport nearest to your home (within Australia or New Zealand) to the community or service and back home at the end of the placement. Accommodation is provided and will meet basic needs.
To be eligible for RAHC placements you must be an Australian/NZ citizen or Australian Permanent Resident. For our eligibility requirements please click here
