eLearning Module Profile: Primary Eye Care Checks

RAHC has developed a suite of free online clinical training modules designed especially for health professionals (HPs). This resource is designed to provide timely and high quality orientation and learning materials for HPs preparing to work in remote health clinics and services. Each month, RAHC will profile one of the eLearning modules, this month we will focus on the Primary Eye Care Checks module.

This module is designed as a learning resource for HPs delivering care for Indigenous people in a primary healthcare setting.  It provides an overview of the key elements for addressing eye health based on information from clinical practice guidelines, research and local resources.

This module focuses on eye health issues relevant to remote communities and aims to help the HP feel comfortable with conducting assessments, understanding the clinical applications and referral pathways.

RAHC developed this module in partnership with Brien Holden Vision Institute with funding from the Fred Hollows Foundation.
