Lowitja Annual Conference and Biennial Congress - March 17 to 20 2014

The Lowitja Institute will hold their National Conference this year in Melbourne on March 17 and 18 and is followed by the Biennial Congress on March 19 and 20. This year the overarching conference theme is Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Journeys to Success.

The CQI conference has been developed for service providers, including community-based community controlled services and government agencies, along with researchers, health industry and policy development government departments.

The specific themes covered this year will be:

  • CQI practice at local and/or regional level
  • Consumer perspective
  • CQI models and systems
  • CQI influence on policy
  • CQI data
  • Accreditation
  • CQI implementation
  • Health promotion.

Named in honour of their Patron, Dr Lowitja O’Donoghue AC CBE DSG, the Lowitja Institute is a national research organisation dedicated to improving the health outcomes of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
