Ms Pat Anderson AO announced winner in 100 Women of Influence Awards for 2015
The Australian Financial Review and Westpac 100 Women of Influence Awards for 2015 was held on 15 October 2015 and has recognised Ms Pat Anderson AO for her contribution to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and wellbeing as she won the Public Policy category.
Pat is an Alyawarre woman from the Northern Territory and is known nationally and internationally as a powerful advocate for disadvantaged people. Pat maintains a particular focus on the health of Australia’s First Peoples, which earned her an appointment as Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) for distinguished service to the Indigenous community. Pat was also a member of the RAHC Board from 2008 to 2012.
There are 10 categories within this award which include: Board/Management, Public Policy, Diversity, Business Enterprise, Young Leader, Global, Local/Regional, Innovation, Culture and Social Enterprise.
Ms Anderson was one of eight recognised in the category of Public Policy.
