RAHC nurse wins Best Rural Paper award at the ICEN Conference

At the International Conference for Emergency Nurses (ICEN) Conference in Brisbane, RAHC Registered Nurse Ruth Coleman was presented with the prestigious Rural Paper Award for her paper “Going remote: Accepting the challenge of a remote area nursing secondment”.

Ruth completed a placement in 2014 with RAHC as a part of the program with Western Health and her paper examined the challenges faced by metropolitan emergency nurses working for the first time in a remote Indigenous community.
