The RAHC Primary Health Care Plus Mobile App has a new section - Remote Safety
RAHC has added additional features to the Primary Health Care Plus mobile app that was created in association with CRANAPlus. The new section – Remote Safety, acts as a quick guide to assist RAHC Health Professionals (HPs) with decision making when attending patients after hours. The app supports both Android and Apple software systems.
RAHC identified that important information could be better delivered in a mobile app to ensure greater coverage to our HPs and also allow us to update the clinical content more often, leading to safer practice.
The Remote Safety tab on the RAHC app includes:
- Important Phone Numbers: a place to enter important community contacts. This has editable fields that can be reused on future placements.
- Personal Risk Assessment: included signs of aggression and escalation of aggression, factors to consider when being called out, and strategies to stay safe.
- Bush Support Self Care Practice: strategies provided by CRANAplus Bush Support team to keep you both physically and mentally well. As well as a short list of things to consider when heading out in response to a call out.
- Aggression Management and De-escalation: strategies that have steps to guide you if the situation arises
RAHC is also producing flip cards reflecting the same content for those who prefer the hard copy version which will be available soon.
